Ben Vincent is the vegetation ecologist for the Aquatic Ecology lab at the University of New England. Ben has more than 8 years’ experience specialising in field surveys, the development of monitoring indicators for assessing the condition of riparian vegetation, glasshouse germination trials, community riparian restoration projects, and farm-scale projects integrating native revegetation and regeneration. His research focus is the ecological interactions between plant communities and biophysical factors such as soil nutrients, salinity, grazing, fire regimes and climate change. Ben is fascinated by the uniqueness of Australian landscapes and in his spare time can often be found out-and-about playing in National Parks.
