Sean Phillipson is the NRM Projects Manager at the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (EGCMA) based in Bairnsdale. He has worked across Gippsland over the past 13 years for the EGCMA, Parks Victoria, and as an environmental consultant. Sean has qualifications in environmental science and river health management, and work experience across a range of environments in eastern Victoria including river health improvement and rehabilitation, coastal and estuarine management, and the protection and improvement of wetland habitats. In his current role, Sean is responsible for the coordination of the Gippsland Lakes program, overseen by the Gippsland Lakes Coordinating Committee. This program is aiming to improve the health of the Gippsland Lakes through improved collaborative approaches with Traditional Owners, community, and land and waterway managers.
